Hi everyone!
I finally have some pictures to post for you guys. We had a busy week AGAIN; go figure! : ) Let's see, pretty much the same stuff, except we also attended auditions for music man. We have call-backs tonight. I also have my piano recital this evening. Kent is trying to finish up this semester at school. He had a presentation yesterday. He did really well. He's doing his project on LASIK eye surgery. It's really cool, but scary! I'm glad I'm not the one in charge. We've had a lot of cold/flu going around this past week. We're struggling to keep everyone well. Brigham missed almost the whole week of pre-school and church on Sunday. We're preparing for our Ward Christmas Program, which is in two weeks. We've learned all the music, but we need to refine and rehearse. Only one week left to practice! I'm trying to remain calm, cool, and collected.
I hate call-backs. There's always so much competition. I just want to sing and make people happy. : ) I'll let you know how it turns out. Wish us luck! Uggh. Over a hundred people auditioned. Okay, anyway, it'll be fine no matter what. Focus, focus, focus ! : )

Thanksgiving Week
Hey guys:
So, this week was fun, busy, fun, busy . . .We had a rehearsal or performance every night, except for Thanksgiving. We are sure tired. We had Naquai's family over for Thanksgiving day and that was fun. I cooked the turkey and yams on Wednesday and the rest of the meal on Thursday. How to people do it all in one day with only one oven? Anyway, I was proud of myself, because I made the stuffing from scratch this year, instead of using the box, which is very fast! It turned out well, though. I'll probably do it again, maybe even as soon as next Thanksgiving! We ate and laughed and played games. I, obviously, need to find a more politically correct name for the little playschool people. I told Jaedon to "go get the little fat girl and her tractor." I thought Naquai was going to die; she was laughing so hard. That's just what I call them. (Little fat dragon, little fat farmer, little fat tractor, etc. ) It's not meant as an insult, they're just short fat little people! : )
We opened Scrooge on Friday night. It was a good audience and everyone did well, especially for being nervous. I don't really get nervous anymore. That's really nice, because I really thought I'd never get over my nerves on stage. Practice, I guess. Jaedon did really well, as did Kent. I was proud of Jaedon for not freezing. This was his first time with a solo in front of a full audience. He did great. Jaedon and I will be auditioning for Music Man this weekend. It looks like a really fun show to be in. Kent is opting out of this one; just too busy!
Saturday, we went to our niece, Summer's, wedding. It was lovely and she seems very happy. : ) Sunday, we went to our niece, Alyse's, missionary farewell. She is going to serve a spanish-speaking mission in San Antonio, TX, I believe. She is very excited and well prepared. She's going to be an awesome missionary. We'll miss seeing her for awhile, though. : (
I have some of our family portraits in, but not the cd, which is the most convenient way for me to post. Otherwise, I have to scan, etc., so hopefully this next week I can post them for you. Hope you all have an awesome week!

Weird Science
Hi everyone!
This week was al0t of rehearsals. We open Friday night, so yeah! Brigham came to rehearsal on Saturday with us. He had a great time playing with everyone there. We were there from 9am to 4pm.
Kent had a monster test at school and is glad that this particular class is almost over. It's a really hard class. (fiber optics) He also had to learn how to skip and jump around and be silly for his Fezziwig character. It's very different from how he is used to behaving. : )
Jaedon did well with all of the stress last week. He had the science fair in addition to all of his other activities. He mentioned the science fair a month ago and asked me not to help or offer ideas. I didn't. I honestly thought he'd decided not to do it. 48rs before the fair, he comes to me in a panic, "Mom, the science fair is in two days!" I obviously, gave in and decided to help him out. We proved that triangles are stronger shapes than squares by building trusses with each shape and then putting weight on them. It was pretty fun. We built them out of toothpicks and a hot glue gun. : ) He won second place. He was pretty happy with that. I spent $20 on the project. He won $15. I didn't get any of it! (He He) He learned alot and really had fun, so it's worth it. He used his money to go see High School Musical 3 with Brig and Dad on Saturday evening.
Zachary and I went to see Twilight on Sat. night. We both enjoyed it, because we'd read the books. Although, we didn't like the action scenes and it could have used better editing. The actors, however, did an amazing job interacting with one another and it was very believeable that way. Such pretty people!
I am glad last week is over, because I was way too busy and that makes me very grumpy. : ( Hopefully we'll survive this week too!)

Wild Week
Hello again!
This was a wild week. We were very busy with school, work, etc. I lost my voice almost completely and had a few very uncomfortable rehearsals for Scrooge. : ( We will start run-throughs tomorrow of the entire show and that will be fun. I finally have my voice back. I haven't tried to sing yet, though. I am scared to push it. I'll probably do a few vocal warmups this evening and see how it goes. Those coldeeze drops really seem to work.
I'm totally into facebook now, which can be time consuming. I try to limit myself to 3o min. a day. : ) It's really fun to catch up with your friends all at once. Anyway, Kent and I flew to Texas on Thursday and stayed through Sunday afternoon. It was fun to visit with my parents, grandparents, sister, etc. We slept in way too much. I guess that's what you do on vacation at this stage of life! (What do you want to do today? . . .sleep!) We visited with my Grandma Horn on Friday afternoon, went to dinner with Granny and Granddad, Aunt Dot, Mom, Aunt Judy, and Kami that night. The next day we had lunch with Grandma Horn, Mom, Dad, and Kami, visited for the afternoon, and then we had dinner with Granny and Granddad, etc. The next morning we had to get up early, : ( , drove to the airport and started home. We met up with Becky and her family at the airport in Dallas. We had just enough of a layover to go have some lunch and visit with her family for a bit. Then we went back to the airport, flew home, picked up the boys, had dinner and started un-packing. Everyone was asleep by 10:00 pm. So, hopefully we can catch up on whatever we missed the last four days. It's been a very quick week. I still don't have the family pictures we took. Sorry! We'll post them as soon as we have them! Love to all!

Hello again!
This week we rehearsed for Scrooge. It's going good still. Jaedon did the cutest thing. We were pantomiming, because we aren't using our props yet. Scrooge handed Jaedon a toy train. After they finished the scene and were going to do it again, Jaedon handed the "train" back to Scrooge so he could give it to him again. It was precious and very much "staying in the moment." I was very proud of him. It's fun to watch Kent jumping around as Fezziwig. He's such a serious guy most of the time. He's a cutie.
Our week was pretty normal as far as work, school, plays, etc. Our weekend was awesome! Zachary's girlfriend, Rachel, is a ballerina in a professional company here in Ogden. She had a ballet on Friday night and we all went. It was so fun! Their repetoire is very eclectic. They did all sorts of different dances and to different styles of music. All of the kids enjoyed it, except perhaps, Brigham. He played with his Indiana Jones action figures mostly and "accidentally" wet his pants while he was sitting in my lap. : ( Luckily it wasn't very much and I was only mildly grossed out. On Saturday night, we went to the Symphony. ( I don't seem to be able to spell today. Sorry!) Rachel's mother, who happens to be in our ward, is one of the top two violinist in a symphony. We went to hear them play. She gets free tickets and she knows we love to come, so she gets us some. : ) They were incredible. They played one of my very favorite pieces as the finale. "The Moldeau" by Smetna. I've never heard it live and it was amazing.
On Sunday, we went to church and choir practice. Kent was able to take a long deserved nap and I worked on writing the Christmas program. I'm not done yet, but I know where it's going. Zachary gave us the lesson for family night. It was about strengthening families and then we played scrabble. It's nice that the kids are getting old enough to play games with us. We gave up years back, because it was too frustrating to have the pieces thrown about during a game. : ) Anyway, it was fun. That's our week!

Hi again!
Okay, so this week we had lots of fun. We went to the annual "Trunk or Treat" that our church puts on. The kids trick or treat in the parking lot (car trunks). I didn't get a picture of Brigham or Jaedon's costumes, but I'll make them dress up again so you can all see. Brigham went as "Santa Claus." He was so excited with the big belly. He said, "Look Mom, I'm finally fat!" Of all things to wish for, right? : ) Jaedon went as "Ryan" from High School Musical. He's your typical theatre-rock star. I worked with Hunt Mysteries Thursday and Saturday. I will miss hanging out with my friends there. I posted a picture of Sheri and I. We have been in shows together before and she's alot of fun. She thought it was funny to "attack" me with her clown make-up after each show. My friend, Alisha, said that I looked like I'd been in a fight with a birthday cake and lost. : ) On Friday, the boys all went to "Frightmares." That is a special Halloween event that our local theme park puts on every October. There are haunted houses and trick or treating alleys in addition to the usual rides, etc. They had a lot of fun and the lines were extremely short, so they were able to ride everything they wanted to in the few hours they had there. I went to a show in Salt Lake, put on by the same company, "Hunt Mysteries." The cast had been invited as their guests to see the show. (Free dinner and a show? . . . Let me think about it . . . : ) ) It was fun, even though we got lost on the way there and on the way back. Saturday we had rehearsal for Scrooge and then we had family pictures, which I will be posting soon. We hired a local photographer who works with the Terrace playhouse that we "play" at. She is really good. We took a ton of pictures and we get to purchase the cd of them, so I can have rights to post, print, etc. anything I want. I'm very excited. It's not something you can afford all the time, so I told the boys to play nice and look good. You're going to be looking at the pictures every day for about 4 years. : ) Sunday we had a couple of sick kids, so Kent and I took turns being at church. I only had to lead in sacrament meeting, so I went home after that. Kent stayed to work with the Young Men and such. Then he went to see our niece, Janna's, little baby "Grace." He took a picture. She's beautiful. After that, we had dinner and watched "Saturday's Warriors." It's a really old church film about the importance of families, etc. It's very cheesy, but it's a musical and we all enjoyed it. Anyway, there's the high-lights of our week. Enjoy!

Last Week
Hi again!
So, last week was busy. (That statement is going to get old, so let's just assume that it is always busy around here. : ) ) So, we rehearsed Christmas Carol last week. It's going really well. I worked at Hunt Mysteries. That went well. I went to "Freaky Friday," which is where a bunch of us girls at the church get together and do crafts and stuff. I learned all about scrapbooking on the computer and I am totally jazzed. I really need to get caught up. Kent worked his head off at work and school, as usual. Zachary had his first band concert ever. It was a really cute "Halloween" themed concert. He played really well. The band director and all of the students came in concert. I tried to upload the video, but I'm still a little bit behind in all of these "new" features on the computer/internet. (hope I'm not alone on that : )) On Sunday, Brigham turned 5 years old. He had a nice day. Naquai and Michael's family came up for dinner and we listened to funny stuff on Naquai's mp3. I thought Kent was going to wet his pants. It was really funny. Brigham got a Batman/Joker action figure set. They both have little weapons that really shoot. He also got the Batmobile and Naquai and family gave him a light saber. He had a Yoda cake. He didn't go to bed until after Midnight. He told us, "I'm five, and it's my birthday, so I can stay up as long as I want!" We caved. Unfortunately, his runny nose has turned into a full blown cold today, so I guess that wasn't the best decision ever. Anyway, it was a fun week!
